古い文庫本

Old Paperback Books

As I was organizing my paperback books, I came across some pretty old ones.
They were from the days when Shincho Bunko paperbacks cost 110 or 120 yen. I decided to digitize them and save them on my computer to make more space in my room.
I remember reading a few essays and novels by Saisei Murou, and they were nostalgic. I had been reading Junzo Shono's new 46-size books since they were piled up flat, but for some reason, I don't remember the contents of his famous "Poolside Scenery." Maybe I never read it.

The only paperback I read continuously was a novel by Natsume Soseki, but I digitized it and don't have a physical copy anymore.
Four volumes of Rousseau's "New Eloise" by Iwanami Bunko are now out of print in paperback, and Luther Burbank's "The Cultivation of Plants," of which I have two copies, is selling for a high price.

My wife said that they seem to be in a cardboard box in the attic, so once the organization is complete, I plan to excavate them.
The paperback books in the photo are wrapped in glazed paper, but when I checked on Amazon, I found that the glazed paper was being sold as well.

文庫本を整理していると、かなり古いのが出てくる。 
定価110円とか120円のころの新潮文庫。これらは、電子化してパソコンに保存して部屋のスペースを広げる。室生犀星のエッセイや小説は数冊読んで覚えがあるが、懐かしい。庄野潤三も新刊の四六版が平積みされている時代から読んでいたが、どういうわけかこの有名な『プールサイド小景』は内容の記憶がない。読んでいなかったのだろうか。 
文庫本で、続けて読んだのは漱石の小説だが、これは電子化してしまった。 
岩波のルソーの『新エロイーズ』4冊は今は文庫で品切れのようだし、2冊ほど持っているルーサー・バーバンクの『植物の育成』は高い値段がついている。 
妻が天袋のダンボール箱に入っているようだよ、と言っていたのである程度整理がついたら、そのあたりを発掘しようと思う。 
写真の文庫本はグラシン紙で巻いてあるが、アマゾンで見たら、グラシン紙もちゃんと売られていた。
