I edited a photograph of silhouette buildings on the horizon to give it an illustrated look for the PDF version of "Uroko Anthology."

今日は久しぶりの快晴で、散歩も足を延ばして、買うものがないのに近所の家電量販店に入ったりした。
『うろこアンソロジー 2022年版＋うろこ短編集 2023年版［鉄道］』30冊を、文学フリマ東京で配布するために、昨日に引き続き、InDesignで組んだ。
2つのアンソロジーを足すとちょうど、44ページと4の倍数で、白ページが出ない。 間に2ページの中扉を作って、小湊鉄道の車両内の写真を入れてみた。
今回の費用は下のとおり。昨日と似たようなものだが、4ページ増えた分、高くなっている。配布にどのくらいの部数がいるのかわからないが、間に合うのでもう少し増刷するかもしれない。

Order another book for binding

Today was a rare sunny day, so I took a walk and even went into a nearby electronics store even though I didn't need to buy anything.

ルソーの『新エロイーズ』文庫本

一昨日書いた、ルーサー・バーバンク著の『植物の育成』は復刊されて、安く買えるようになったようだ。なんでも農業をやっている人は読むべき名著なのだという。
バーバンクで覚えているのは、じゃがいもの改良と、トゲなしサボテンのことである。
写真の『新エロイーズ』4冊は1969年に買って、完読していない。ルソーの本は、『エミール』を16歳ごろ読んで心に染みた覚えがある。それから『告白』や『社会契約論』など刊行されているものや、現代思潮社の『ルソー、ジャン=ジャックを裁く』など読んだが、なぜかこの当時ベストセラーになった小説は読んでいなかった。
52年後に、電子化して読むことになるとは、買った当時は思いもよらなかったことだ。

It seems that Luther Burbank's "The Training of the Plant" that I wrote about the day before yesterday has been republished and is now available for purchase at a cheaper price. The four volumes of "La Nouvelle Héloïse" in the photo were purchased in 1969, but I have not finished reading them. I remember being deeply moved by Rousseau's book "Emile" when I read it around the age of 16. Since then, I have read some of his other works such as "Confessions" and "The Social Contract," as well as "Judging Jean-Jacques by Rousseau" by Gemdai-shichoucha, but for some reason, I had never read this novel that became a bestseller at the time.
I never imagined when I bought the book that I would be reading it in digitized form 52 years later.

昨日の梅園の写真の続き

昨日の梅園では濃い赤の梅や、枝垂れ梅の花が見事だった。
あまり降りることのない駅で降りて、商店街などを歩くとおもしろい。
3両編成の電車なども、ここのところあまり乗っていなかったので、新鮮な感じがある。

Yesterday at the plum garden, the deep red plums and drooping plum blossoms were magnificent. It's interesting to get off at a station that I don't often visit and walk around the shopping district. The three-car trains have not been ridden much lately, so it feels fresh.

サクラソウ

今日は外で仕事をしていて、スマホの天気予報で雪の印がついていたので、終わるころには降っているかなと思っていた。
外に出ると、それほど寒く感じないし、小雨が降っているだけだった。
さらに、今夜は気温が下がってきて東京でも雪に変わるのかもしれない。
